Nelson Edgar Foshee was born on 25 June 1883, in Newton, Newton, Texas, United States, his father, Meredia Foshee, was 32 and his mother, Artemissa Craft, was 35. He married Martha Missouri Cooper on 24 December 1908. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 2 daughters. He lived in Rosepine, Vernon, Louisiana, United States in 1920 and Ward Four, Vernon, Louisiana, United States in 1930. He died on 5 July 1964, in DeRidder, Beauregard, Louisiana, United States, at the age of 81, and was buried in Rosepine, Vernon, Louisiana, United States.
