Bio

Aloda's parents, J.C. and Mary Jane Stephens were from Alabama. Aloda was born in Alabama and her family moved to Franklin County, Tennessee when she was an infant. They moved to Callahan County, Texas in the early 1890s. Aloda Stephens and Gus Black married June 16, 1895 in Callahan County, Texas, and lived the remainder of their lives in the county, farming for many years in the Atwell community.
