Co-founder of Fort Worth's famous Kincaid's Grocery and Market, sold to O. R. Gentry in 1967. From the Fort Worth Star-Telegram , Thursday, February 22, 1968, p. 11A: Charles J. Kincaid, 67, of 3810 Tulsa Way, died Wednesday in a hospital after an illness of several weeks. He was a retired grocer and former sales manager for Western Union Telegraph Co. A native of Fort Worth, Kincaid was a member of the Baptist Church, a veteran of World War I, member of the American Legion, Keystone Chapter of Eastern Star and a charter member of the Stock Yards Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his wife; a brother, Gordon Kincaid; a nephew, James Gordon Kincaid; a niece, Mrs. Bob Vance, all of Fort Worth; two aunts, Mrs. Irene Williams of Dallas and Mrs. Lillie Ferguson of Fort Worth. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Gause-Ware Chapel and burial will be in Greenwood. Pallbearers will be Bascomb B. Bell , Ownyel R. Gentry , Paul K. Lloyd, Alex Pearce Jr., G. N. Westerfield and Charles G. Williams.
