D/o David Cornett & Sarah Platt. The birth date 20 May 1793 comes from a family Bible entry owned by her grandson. As for the date of death, it is an approximation, as she is listed on the 1880 Grayson County Federal Census, so she died somewhere between 1880-1900. Thus, the dates on this marker are erroneous. Notice that the birth and death state circa. Some researchers have confused her with her niece Feraby Cornett Jones 1800-1855, daughter of William & Mary Hatfield Cornett and spouse of Joshua Jones. Proof that she is David's daughter is in David's will naming her and her husband John Anderson.
