Maxine L. Hammond, 79, of Cheyenne died Jan. 5 at Mountain Towers Healthcare. She was born March 13, 1919, in Nebraska. Hammond was a homemaker. She married Delbert G. Hammond May 20, 1935, in Kimball, Neb. Hammond was affiliated with the Full Gospel Assembly of God. She is survived by four sons, James, Delbert and Ralph Hammond, all of Cheyenne, and Gerald Hammond of Fort Collins, Colo.; six daughters, Maxine Webber, Marcine Loshbaugh and Wanda Scott, all of Cheyenne, Wilma Dostal of Grover Beach, Calif., Delberta Uvalle of Colorado Springs, Colo., June Jones of Lantana Beach, Fla.; a brother, Merle Taylor of Marino, Colo.; 53 grandchildren, 84 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren. Hammond was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert G. Hammond on Nov. 4, 1991; six brothers; and two sisters. © Wyoming Tribune Eagle January 8, 1999
