Services were held Sunday at the Langsford-Cox Chapel for Charles L. Gibson, 66, Kansas City, who died Thursday, Oct. 15, at the home. Gibson was a lifelong resident of the area. He had been a machine operator in the publishing department at the Unity School of Christianity for 16 years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Lee's Summit and the American Legion in Blue Springs. Among the survivors is a brother, Edward Gibson, Raymore. Also surviving are his wife, Adilee Gibson of the home: a son, Gary M. Gibson, Dallas: a daughter, Linda L. Gibson, Polo, Mo.: two other brothers, Daniel Gibson, Lee's Summit, and Elmer Gibson, Hutchinson, Kan., two sisters, Grace Prough, Durant, and Shirley Trundle, Okla , Parkville: and a grandson. Burial was in the Lee's Summit Cemetery. The Star-Herald -- Belton, Cass County, Missouri -- Thursday -- October 22, 1987.
