Bio

Funeral services were held for Vlasta Annie Zapalac Wednesday, July 16, 1986, at Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus under the direction of Henneke Funeral Home with the Pastor Robert Schlortt officiating. Vlasta Annie Zapalac was born February 20, 1904 in Moravia, Texas to Joe Pustjovsky and Vera Mikulench Pustjovsky. She married Frank Zapalac October 1924. She was a housewife and she was a Lutheran. Burial was at Weimar Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Zapalac (died August 13, 1976). Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Evelyn J. Gold of Luling; one sister, Lillie Rokeyta of Port Lavaca; one brother, Julius Pustjovsky of Port Lavaca; seven grandchildren, Carol Schmidt, Joyce Hebbe, Roger Karm, Carl Gold, Janet Gold, Floyd Gold and Sharon Baejo; and ten great-grandchildren. Pallbearers, were Butch Schmidt, Herman Hebbe, Paul Hahn, Roger Karm, Floyd Gold and Carl Gold. Colorado County Citizen, July 24, 1986 -------------------------
