Robert Lee "Bud" Watson Robert Lee "Bud" Watson, age 101 of Denton passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at the Atrium Medical Center in Corinth. He was born on May 4, 1910 in Rankin, OK to Albert Lincoln and Eula Bell Hill Watson, and was one of 13 children. He was married to Dorothy Hassell in Denton in 1982 and she preceded him in death in 1998. He was an active member of the Cooper Creek Baptist Church in Denton. He was a member of the Denton County Sheriff's Posse for 14 years and the Tarrant County Sheriff's Posse for 23 years. He is survived by his son, Robert Chapman and wife, Helen of Fort Worth; granddaughter, Donna Stewart and husband, Don of Krum; grandsons, Ben Watson and wife, Lindsay and Rick Borth of Denton, Robert Jenkins and wife, Marsha and Ben and Amy Jenkins of Krum, Kevin Watson of Mt. Vernon, Chad Watson of Austin, and Kenny Chapman and wife, Carol of Ozark, MO; daughters-in-law, Darles Watson of Rowlett and Lynda Watson of Mt. Vernon and son-in-law, Nickie Borth of Krum, 11 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and his very special friend, Hattie Montgomery. He was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Ruby Harpole Chapman Watson; daughters, Peggy Watson Borth and Joy Chapman Jenkins and husband, Frank; sons, Albert Benton "AB" Watson, Weldon Lee Watson; his parents and twelve brothers and sisters. A visitation will be held on Friday, May 27, 2011 from 6 to 8 pm at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 705 N. Locustin Denton. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at 2 pm at the Cooper Creek Baptist Church. Burial will immediately follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton with Rev. Bobby Bryan and Dr. Richard Montgomery officiating. Pallbearers will be grandsons Rick Borth, Ben Watson, Kevin Watson, Kenny Chapman, Ben Jenkins and Harley Jenkins. Honorary pallbearers will be Kyle Jenkins, Robert Jenkins, Nicholas Borth, Charley Hayes, Jerry Simmons, Bill Enlow and Jack Golden. The family would like to thank Dr. Bhatt and the wonderful staff at the Atrium Medical Center in Corinth for the loving and professional care that they gave to Bud during his final days……You will always hold a very special place in all of our hearts.
