Hillsboro Reporter Monday, August 23, 1982 Bertha Vieregge Mrs. Bertha Allen Vieregge, 73, of Hillsboro died Tuesday morning (August 17) in a West hospital. She was born November 18, 1908 in McLennan County daughter of J.B. and Elizabeth Crow Allen, Sr.. She was a housewife and a member of the First Baptist Church of Hillsboro. In 1933 she married Otto Vieregge. She was preceded in death by a brother, William Allen, in 1944; and a sister, Ona Allen, in 1905. Survivors include: her husband ; one son, Bruce Vieregge of Hillsboro; one grandson, Bill Vieregge of Hillsboro; one daughter-in-law; three brothers, James H. Allen, Sidney C. Allen and J.B. Allen, Jr., all of Hillsboro; four sisters, Rubye Van Winkle of Whitney, Jewel Allen and Dale Ezell, both of Hillsboro, and Mozelle Kelley of Burleson. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday (August 19) at Eden Funeral Home Chapel in Hillsboro with Rev. J.W. Bruner officiating. Burial was at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro.
