Bio

Andrew Valentine Gates was born on August 7, 1856 in Panola County, MS. He was the son of Mary Adeline Benge Gates and John Gates. A.V. married Frances Nina Coleman on December 15, 1880 in Panola County MS. The family moved to Sherman, Grayson Co, TX about 1894 and lived at 1438 South Travis St. A.V. worked as a dry goods salesman. Andrew V Gates Sr marries Annie May Fulton in Grayson Texas on 12 June 1917.
