OBITUARY Rites Tuesday For Mrs. Bates Mrs. Frances S. Bates, 71 , succumbed at her home in Hearne Sunday evening after having been in failing health for the past several months. She was born in Shelby County but had spent most of her life in Robertson County. Mrs. Bates was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. Funeral: services were conducted from the Calvary Baptist Church Tuesday at 2 P.M. with the Rev. Harold Wasson Officiating. Interment was in the Little Mississippi Cemetery. She is Survived by her husband. J.S. Bates, of Hearne: two sons, Herbert Bates of Hearne and Paul Bates of Fort Worth: 10 grandchildren. Also a brother Bert Gann, of Port Sulphur, La; two sister, Mrs Will Frostof Corsicana and Mrs, Della Yates of Houston.
