Mary was the daughter of John Christopher and Lou Cordelia (Reese) Goins. She first married Ernest Ives and her second husband was Wallace Stocks Black. Her children were: Leona Gertrude Ives Templin, Charles William Ives, Edith Ives, Mary Halley Black Santistevan, Wallace Stocks Black Jr., David Henry Black, Dorothy Jean Black Kilroe, Paul Frances Black, and a daughter who was stillborn. Her sisters and brothers were: Maybell Goins Arant, George Lee Goins, James Baker Goins, A Sister that was Stillborn, Cora Irene Goins Egger, Stella Goins Egger, Bertie Evelyn Goins Cole, John Christopher Goins Jr., Lewis Benjamin Goins, KIA in WWII Eula Bee Goins, Ruth Pauline Goins Bien, Roy Albert Goins. All of her sisters and brothers have now passed away and are buried in Texas. Her third husband was Arnold Berkley Seay, born 28 Aug 1903 in Brookwood, Alabama. I cannot find any records that confirm his date of death, but her obituary states he did survive her. She and Arnold married 5 Jun 1967 in Utah, according to a marriage record found on Ancestry. Mary's nephew, Johnny Egger wrote: I never got to be around Mary Lou very much. She had moved away to another state. She was my aunt (my mother's sister.) Our family often talked of her and how they loved and missed her. She did come home to visit but I don't remember seeing her. My mother would often laugh and tell us stories about what they did when they were young. I just wish I could have known her. Thanks to Kimberly Harper for taking and sending the picture of her stone to me.
