Marietta Daily Journal, December 6, 1991, pg 2B Michelle Adami Burns, 44, of Flat Rock, N.C., formerly of Marietta, died Wednesday. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Hendersonville, N.C. A homemaker and former Marietta resident, she attended Sprayberry High School and Auburn University. She was a community leader, active in her church, an advocate of the arts in education and a leader in the League of Women Voters. She is survived by her husband, Gordon Bertron Burns of Flat Rock, N.C.; two sons, Jason Stuart Burns and Casey Gordon Burns, both of Flat Rock, N.C.; two brothers, Larry D. Adami of Marietta and C. Martin Adami of Weatherford, Texas; parents, Claude and Mary Lou Hallead of Marietta. Contributions may be made to United Netword of Organ Sharing, 1100 Boulders Parkway, Suite 500, P.O. Box 13770, Richmond Va. Shepherds Funeral Home in Hendersonville, N.C. is in charge of arrangements.
