Georgia S. Westmoreland, 82, a retired General Dynamics assembly technician, died Wednesday, November 23, 2005, in Fort Worth, Tarrant Co, TX. Georgia was born August 23, 1923, in Shiloh, Limestone Co, TX to William Andrew Shamblin and Lillie Bell Wells Shamblin. She married Royce Harmon Westmoreland, Sr. in the early part of 1950s in Fort Worth. Georgia was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother. She retired from General Dynamics in 1985, after several work performance awards. Georgia was a Sunday school teacher for 20-plus years at Worth Baptist Church, where she participated in many other activities. Survivors: Son, Royce Harmon Westmoreland, Jr. and wife, Carol, of Keller, Tarrant Co, TX; grandaughter, Cari Lynn Westmoreland of Sanford, Fla.; brother, Roy Jones; sisters, Marie Conn, Margaret Shockley and Mildred Yelding; brother-in-law, W.T. Carr. She was also survived by many other family and friends. Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday in Laurel Land Memorial Chapel. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday Nov. at Laurel Land Funeral Home.
