Parents are John Padgett & Mary Padgett Wife of Daniel Albert Wilgus (Married: May 9, 1855, Owens Co. IN.) Five boys and four girls were bron to this union: John Wilgus Jacob W. Wilgus of Dickens, IA. Henry Kelly Wilgus of Marshalltown, IA. William Fletcher Wilgus of Waterloo, IA. George Sarah Elizabeth (Wilgus) Brush , Sargeant, Neb. Sharlotte "Lottie" (Wilgus) Stanburg, N.Y. Jennie (Wilgus) Peach of Beaman, IA. Mary Myrtle (Wilgus) Bailey ----------- WILGUS. Angeline Wilgus was born in Owen county, Indiana, December 15, 1835, and died March 24, 1905, being therefore 69 years, 3 months and 9 days old. Her maiden name was Angeline Padgett. In the year 1855 she was united in marriage to Daniel Albert Wilgus in the home where she was born. In 1860 they moved from Indiana to Bloomington, Illinois, where they resided for seventeen years, coming from there in 1877 to Traer, Iowa. For four years they have resided in Beaman where Mrs. Wilgus has gained a host of friends. To them were given four boys and four girls all of whom are still living. They are Jacob W. Wilgus of Dickens, IA, Henry Wilgus of Marshalltown, IA, William F. Wilgus of Waterloo, IA, John Wilgus, Mrs. Sarah Brush, Sargeant, Neb.; Mrs. Lottie Stanburg, New York; Mrs. Jennie Peach of Beaman, IA, and Mary Wilgus. The many relatives and children together with the husband have our most sincere sympathy in this hour of bereavement. She is gone but not forgotten. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Beaman, Saturday 15 2:00 p. m., conducted by Rev. Kuhlman. The remains were laid to rest in Oakland Cemetery east of Beaman, Iowa.
