Bryan-College Station Eagle, Mon, Aug 07, 1989 Richard R. Vajdak Funeral services for Richard R. Vajdak, 60, of Snook will be on Tuesday at the Snook Brethren Church with Revs. Henry Beseda and John Gantt officiating. Richard died Sunday in a Temple hospital. He was born in Snook and was a farmer and rancher. He graduated from Snook High School in 1947. He was a member and president of the SPJST Lodge #9 in Snook. He was also secretary for the Burleson-Lee Soil and Water Conservation district. He served with the district for 27 years. He received the Outstanding Man of the Year Award in1965 for being the best young conservaton foreman. He received the Goodyear award in 1988, also from the conservaton district. He will be remembered for his kindness in helping school children in the area. Richard was a member of the Snook Brethren Church and served on the board of elders. He is survived by his wife, three son and daughters-in-law, one daughter and son-in-law, three brothers, two sisters, his mother and 11 grandchildren.
