Bio

Jessie May Gilbert McBride Jetton was born May 7, 1932 in Enoch, Texas to Joseph Clinton and Hattie Rose Pritchett Gilbert. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands: Edward McBride and John Leatrus Jetton, and six siblings. Jessie was a devoted and loving mother, wife, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. She loved her flowers and she had a passion and talent for gardening and growing all things to be beautiful. Along with her love of family, Jessie had a boundless faith for her Lord as a lifetime member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. A wonderful woman, she will be missed by all who knew her. Jessie is survived by her sons: Phillip Ray McBride and wife Susan, Larry Dale McBride and wife Wanda, Jeffrey Keith Jetton and wife Sandra, and Terry Lee Jetton and wife Nancy; 13 grandchildren: Colin, Brian, Jerry, Christopher, Stacy, Dustin, Josh, Ashley, Joshua, Lindsey, Austin, Johnny, Emily and Sabrina; great grandchildren: Nikki, Brittani, Meagan, Madison, Hailey, Lindsey, Hailey Glen, Chesney, Tyson, and Carmela; great-great-grandchild: Hayden; siblings: Nell Ledbetter, Neil Gilbert, Doyce Johnson, and James, Weldon and Denny Gilbert. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 11 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 8200 FM 741 in Forney. Interment will be at 3 p.m. at Enoch Cemetery, outside of Gilmer. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral Home in Terrell. Condolences may be given to the family at www.andersonclaytonbros.com.
