Bio
Ruby Swafford Stephens, 87 of Birmingham formerly of Skyline, died Friday, May 13, 2011 at her residence. Funeral services will be 2pm Monday at Scottsboro Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James "Totchie" McLain officiating. Burial will follow in Skyline Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 5:30 until 9:00pm at Scottsboro Funeral Home. Mrs. Stephens is survived by daughters; Debbie Stephens and Lyn Gilbert both of Birmingham, grandsons Steven Rouse of Skyline and Forest Gilbert of Gig Harbor, Washington and granddaughter, Christy Scarberry of Skyline, Brother, John Swafford of Scottsboro, sisters, Carlene Swearengin of Tuscaloosa and Frances Stephens of Skyline and several nieces and nephews, She was preceded in death by husband Horace L.
