Bio

Elinor, the first of 4 children, was born to George & Edna Meier. After high school she went to business school in Denver, CO., and eventually worked as assistant to the project director for the construction of Shasta Dam, near Redding, CA. There she met and married Jim Sawdey. Later she worked for San Juan Unified School District. She became Vice-Chancellor of Finance for Los Rios Community College District in Sacramento until her retirement. She is survived by her sister Norma Childs, her brother Robert Meier, her son Ron Sawdey(Cissy Wolff), her daughter Rosalie O'Donnell(Dwight) and 4 grandsons. Interment will take place Saturday, May 21, 2011, 10:00 a.m. in the Fall River Mills Cemetery followed by a Memorial Service at 1:00 at the Glenburn Community Schurch in Fall River Mills, CA.
