CARLSBAD CURRENT-ARGUS Carlsbad, Eddy County, New Mexico October 30, 1990 SCHOOLCRAFT Graveside services for Cal C. Schoolcraft, 74, 2612 Bert Lane, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Sunset Gardens Memorial Park. Charles McNew of Happy Valley Church will officiate. Mr. Schoolcraft died Tuesday at Guadalupe Medical Center. He was born March 14, 1916, in Anson, Texas. A longtime resident of Carlsbad, he worked as a mechanic at the potash mines. He and Joe Mae Jeffus married on May 18, 1940, in Carlsbad. Mr. Schoolcraft was a member of the Happy Valley Church. His hobbies included hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife, Joe Mae Schoolcraft of Carlsbad; two daughters, Judy Buckner of Bosque Farms, N.M., and Carolyn Morgan of Carlsbad; two sisters, Jottie Rae Cobb of Carlsbad and Bertha Turner of Snyder, Texas; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Denton Funeral Home.
