Evelyn Senff, 92, of Litchfield died Sunday, May 8, 2011, at St. John's Good Samaritan Center in Kearney. Evelyn was born May 18, 1918, at Loup City to Johnnie and Alvina (Bickel) Peterson. On Feb. 6, 1942, she married Clifford Senff, I. He died May 12, 1988. Survivors are: son, Clifford, II and his fiancée, Kim Pelc, of Litchfield; daughters, Elline Evans of Litchfield, Lyla Slack and her husband, John, of Gothenburg and Vicki Covarrubias and her husband, Gasper, of Lawrence, Kan.; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Evelyn grew up on a farm southwest of Loup City and was educated at Wiggle Creek School. She and Clifford farmed in the Litchfield area until they retired and moved to Litchfield in 1977. Evelyn was a member of the United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She liked to sew and made a number of quilts for her grandchildren. She made all kinds of crafts and always had a garden. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren; son-in-law, Lester Evans; brother, Leon Peterson; and special sister-in-law, Regina Peterson.
