Services for Tennie Inez Eades Newman, 72, of Temple will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Temple. Private burial will be in Greathouse Cemetery in Temple. Mrs. Newman died Thursday, May 5, in a Temple nursing home. She was born on Dec 31, 1938, to Doyle E. and Floy Brinkley Eades in Snyder. She grew up and graduated school in Snyder. She attended college at Texas Women's University at Denton. On Dec. 2, 1958, she married Johnny Joe Saunders in Gatesville and preceded her in death on March 16, 1963. On Nov. 20, 1965, she married Charles Leland Newman. She had lived in Bell County since 1972 and was a member of Belton Church of Christ. She worked at Leon Heights Elementary, Bell County Agricultural Extension, Bell County Adult Probation, Scott and White Emergency Department and was an Administrative Assistant at McLane Company for 10 years. Survivors include a son, Charles Newman of Dallas; a daughter, Dee'D Ferman of Temple; a brother, Herbert Eades of Childress; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 8th Ave, 7th Flr., New York N.Y. 10001, www.alzfdn.org. Visitation will begin one-hour prior to the service.
