World War II Veteran *** U S ARMY *** Bennie A. Jarma was born in Holland, TX on November 6, 1922 and passed away at his home on August 2, 2012. He graduated from Holland High School in 1940 where he participated in football, baseball, basketball, and track. He worked for Sears Roebuck as a buyer for 35 years. He also worked for Watson's Restaurant Supply for 8 years. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church; he was a member and officer of SPJST Lodge 84, Dallas where he participated in the Czech Club Choral Group. He also was a member of WFLA, Dallas and KJT Lodge 111, Dallas. He served in the 552 Anti-Aircraft Artillery in World War II in the European Theater. He was a loving, thoughtful, and funny husband, father, grandfather and friend. Bennie enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing cards, as well as spending time with Shadow, his border collie and best companion. He loved his wife deeply, was proud of his son, and he treasured his daughter-in-law & grand-daughters. He was preceded in death by his wife Lillie K. Jarma, his parents Simon and Daller Jarma, brother Harry Jarma, and nieces Andrea and Suzanne Jarma. Survivors are his son and daughter-in-law, Don and Debbie Jarma; granddaughter Holly and her husband Bradley Olmstead; granddaughter Casey and her husband Collin Prater;granddaughter Julie Jarma; several nephews. Viewing at the Funeral home Monday, August 6, 2012, 11 A.M. to 6 P.M. Recitation of the Rosary 9:30 A.M. followed by the Funeral Mass at 10 A.M., Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Dallas. Interment Sacred Heart Cemetery, Rowlett. Fr.
