CARLSBAD CURRENT-ARGUS Carlsbad, Eddy County, New Mexico September 7, 1985 WARREN Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Sunset Gardens Memorial Park for Roy Warren, 77, 1030 N. Eddy St., who died Saturday in the Carlsbad hospital. The Rev. Rick Hudson of Hillcrest Baptist Church and Bishop Randy Robinson of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints will officiate, with Denton Funeral in charge of arrangements. Born in Mineral Wells, Texas, he grew up there and worked oil fields until moving to Hobbs in 1934 where he was a baker. He and his wife, Kate, were married in 1938 in Seminole, Texas and shortly after that, the couple moved to Carlsbad. He was employed at U.S. Borax as a track and ventilation foreman for 30 years, and retired in 1968. His favorite leisure activity was hunting. Survivors include: his wife, Kate, Carlsbad; two sons, Robert Ray Warren of Carlsbad, and James Ray Warren, Flagstaff, Ariz.; two daughters, Geraldine Bain of Lake Arthur, and Katie Louise Menzdorf, Carlsbad; one sister, Ruth Seaman, Carlsbad; 11 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
