Died, July 1st, 1884 at the residence of her son-in-law, Mr. C. Hull, in Kansas City, Mo., Henrietta Lighthizer, in the 73rd year of her age. Deceased was born in Baltimore, Md., in 1812, was married to George Lighthizer, at the age of 17. Moved with her husband to Dayton, Ohio, and lived there until 1853. They moved to Marshall, Ill., and from there to this place in 1858, and remained here until the death of Mr. Lighthizer which occurred in 1880. Since that time Mrs. L. has lived with her children who reside in Ohio, Indiana and Mo. She lived with her daughter, Mrs. C. Hull, the past year and was an invalid the past nine months of her life. Deceased was a worthy and consistent member of the Christian Church for twenty-five years of her life. While a resident of this place she made many friends by her kind and neighborly ways, was highly respected and esteemed by all who knew her intimately. The remains were brought to this place July 2nd. '84. Elder Linn preached a funeral discourse at the Christian church after which interment took place at the Sulphur Springs cemetery.
