Obit was published in the Mitchell (SD) Daily Republic on Wed. June 15, 1977 page 2 Funeral services were held on Friday June 18 at the UMC in Geddes, SD. Marie Fiala Varilek was born Oct. 12, 1884 at Chotebore, Bohemia to Mr. & Mrs. Frank Fiala. They moved to Omaha, Neb. in 1901 then to Armour, SD then to Kadoka, SD. She married John Varilek at Armour on June 25, 1908. She died Tuesday June 14, 1977. (date wasn't indicated) Survivors were 3 daughters: Helen (Joe) Lubac; Albina Jandreau; Sylvia (Dean) Fischer; 5 sons: George, Charles, Edward, John, William; 26 grandkids and 47 great-grandkids. She was preceded in death by her husband and 2 brothers.
