Services for Mrs. Lucy King, 85, of 1105 N. Morris St., who died Tuesday at Gainesville Memorial Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Central Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Fincher of that church and Dr. Wilbin Simmons of the Fundamentalist Baptist Church in Decatur officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery under the direction of Vernie Keel Funeral Home. She was born March 19, 1896, in Grayson County to the late Mr. and Mrs. James Kays. In June 9, 1912, in Cooke County, she married Thomas R. King who preceded her in death on Sept. 7, 1934. She was a housewife and a member of Central Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Levoy King and A. J. King, both of Gainesville; seven daughters, Lilly Bruce and Mrs. Faye Freeman, both of Woodbine, Ida Mae Jones of Gainesville, Margie Beaty and Belma Milam, both of Denton, Mrs. Ray Pearson of Odessa, and Jeanie McGuirt of Arlington; one sister, Mrs. Jewell McGuire of Gainesville; 41 grandchildren, 66 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandsons. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Wednesday 30 December 1981 Gainesville DAILY REGISTER
