Bernard Dale Hyatt 87 of Ft. Smith formerly of Springdale, died November 27, 2012 in Ft. Smith. He was born July 31, 1925 in Valparaiso, Nebraska to Dale Austin and Lucy Marie Dye Hyatt. Bernard retired from Heekin Canning after 46 years. He enjoyed woodworking, hiking and was a nature lover. He was a member of Lowell Baptist Church and an active member of the Lavaca Senior Center. He was served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife June Graham Hyatt whom he married March 16, 1954 and a grandson Russell (Rusty) Moore. He is survived by one daughter, Karen Jackson and husband Russell T. Jr. of Lavaca, two sisters; Verla Marie Miller and Mavis A. Wilson and husband Curtis all of Rogers. Two grandchildren, Jackie (Jay) Moore II and Jimmika Wolf and husband Dale, four great grandchildren, Jaquelyn Wolf, Andrea Wolf, Chad Moore and Shancy Moore and one great-great grandson Riley Moore and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 30, 2012 at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale. Burial will follow at Rogers Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 1:00 P.M. till service time.
