On Double stone with Annie K. MART DAILY HERALD JANUARY 17, 1950 Joe Pavelka, 60, pioneer resident of the Axtell community died last Friday at 6 p.m. at Hillcrest hospital, Waco. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Littlepage Funeral Home, with Rev. O.L. Savage, pastor of the Mart First Presbyterian church, officiating. Interment in Pavelka cemetery near Battle. Littlepage of Mart in charge of arrangements.Survivors include: His wife of Route 1, Axtell; three daughters, Mrs. Joe Parker, Mrs. Clarence Peevey and Miss Alma Pavelka of Axtell; four sons, Johnny Pavelka of Driskell, Edward, Marvin and Adolph Pavelka of Route 1.
