Bio

Married almost 60 years to Orval Hardin, she was the daughter of Robert Hill Wall and Lula Alice Williamson Wall; mother of two daughters. She graduated from Decatur Baptist College in 1933. She began her career as a banker at Grand Avenue State Bank in Dallas in 1945 and retired in 1979 after 34 years, then worked part-time there for another 10 years after she retired when the bank became Comerica Bank. Mildred was the first female bank officer and Vice President at Grand Bank. She was a long-time member of Grand Avenue Baptist Church, and took an active role in many community activities.
