Bio

James Robert Coulter Sr., 76, of Moody, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2013, at a local hospital. A graveside service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 19, at the Moody Cemetery. James was born Sept. 24, 1936 in Moody to Clyde and Robbie Coulter. He graduated from Bruceville-Eddy High School in 1955. He later joined the Naval Reserves. On Aug. 4, 1956 he married Patsy Jean Crocker and began a life of love and happiness. James spent many years in the tire business and worked at both Sears and Montgomery Ward in Waco as well as for several independent tire business owners. James had numerous hobbies throughout his life from digging for arrowheads and fishing in his younger years to working crossword puzzles and playing hand held video games more recently. There were several things he always enjoyed and those were music, playing dominoes, and spending time with his family. James faced some tough health issues over the past twenty years but received his complete healing on Sunday when he went to be with his Savior and Lord. James will be greatly missed. He was a loving husband, father, and PaPa, a caring neighbor and friend, and an element of strength and courage to those who knew him. James was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Patsy; twin infant brothers, John and Clyde. James is survived by one son, Rocky Coulter; two daughters, Karen Williamson and husband Danny and Sheryl Morgan and husband David; one sister Clydean Harper; one brother Carl (Butch) Coulter; five grandchildren Brandon, Heath, Candice, Garrett, and Bethany; and four great-grandchildren Brayden, Brooklynn, Hadlee, and Addison Jean. The family appreciates all the prayers, love, and concern from family and friends over the past two weeks and are also grateful for the kind and professional care James received from many at Scott & White Hospital.
