A graveside service for Calvin C. Patterson, age 87, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, April 23, 2011, at Gafford Chapel Cemetery, with Rev. Bruce Stinson officiating. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 22, 2011, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Calvin C. Patterson passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Hunt County Regional Hospital in Commerce. He was born in Emblem on September 2, 1923, the son of Herbert Patterson and Trudie Patterson. He married Bettie Jo Davis in Sulphur Springs on March 18, 1946. She preceded him in death in 2004. Mr. Patterson was a retired mechanic from Rollins Truck Leasing. He was of the Baptist faith and served in the United State Navy during World War II. Survivors include: two daughters, Jannice Bina of Sulphur Springs and Lori Howard of Brashear; twin brother, Alvin Patterson of Dallas; grandchildren, Dwayne Baker, Kevin Patterson and Jason Howard and great-grandchildren, Christopher Baker, Seth Baker and Eric Baker. He was also preceded in death by one grandson, Billy Howard, Jr.; one brother, Glenn Patterson and one sister, Fay White.
