Mildred Griffith DENISON - Funeral services for Mildred Griffith, 96, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 26 at the Chapel On The Hill Mausoleum at Cedarlawn Memorial Park, conducted by Rev. Danny Broughton in Sherman. Mrs. Griffith died April 21, 2011 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison. She is survived by sister Mrs. Lafreta Bock of Sherman; two grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Visitation will be held from 6-7 p.m. Monday at Johnson-Moore Funeral Home in Denison. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at the Chapel On The Hill Mausoleum with Rev. Danny Broughton officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarlawn Memorial Park. Mrs. Griffith was born July 24, 1914 in Fayburg to Homer Parker and Hatti Peel Nevil. On June 4, 1944 she married Charles Griffith in Denison. He preceded her in death on Feb. 24, 1998. She worked for Kraft Foods and retired from Texas Instruments. Survivors are her sister, Mrs. Lafreta Bock and husband Jim of Sherman; grandchildren David Cook and wife Jennifer of Ocean Side, Calif., Billy Cook of California; great-granddaughter Donna Sue Cook of California; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Donna Sue Cook; sisters Imogene Wright, Wynona Jones; and brother Gwenlee Nevil.
