Services for Betty Frances Talasek, 81, of Temple will be 10 a.m. Friday in Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple. Mrs. Talasek died Monday, April 18, at her home. She was born on Oct. 29, 1929, to James Andrew and Bludvie Lee Phillips Johnson in LaGrange, Ga. In 1959, she married Dan Talasek. She was a homemaker and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Temple. She was preceded in death by her husband. Survivors include a son, Robert Talasek of Temple; a daughter, Phyllis Elaine Beck of Locust Grove, Ga.; a sister, Ruby Nell White of LaGrange, Ga.; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple. TEMPLE DAILY TELEGRAM. Published: April 21, 2011.
