Bio

John Sr. died of tuberculosis at age 50. Marie, his widow went to live with her daughter, Marie Sumbera Lidiak in Ammannsville, Texas. Both Marie and John are buried in the cemetery but not together. Heavy rainfall for a week prior to Marie's death made it impossible to get to the far end of the cemetery to bury her next to her husband, so she is buried closer to the cemetery entrance. John Sr. was born in house number 37, Velke Kuncice to Josef Sumbera and Anna Krecmar Sumbera. He married Mary Blahacek.
