Bio

Jan was born in Janovice, Slezku (Silesia), Moravia to John Osina and Johanna Sperla Osina. He married Johanna Nepomucena Hluchanek Cernoch (Cernsoek) on 4 October 1886. They had six children. He is buried in the cemetery next to his wife. They share a tombstone with a broken cross laying on top of it in 2009. Betty Osina restored the broken cross. JOHN OSINA DEAD John Osina, a well known farmer of this section, who recently was wounded in the stomach by the accidental discharge of a target rifle, and who was thought to be doing finely, was taken worse last week and died soon afterward, peritonitis being the cause of his death. Mr. Osina was well thought of by his friends and neighbors, being a quiet, good citizen, industrious and frugal, and fairly well off in this world's goods. Out sincere sympathy goes out to his bereaved family. Weimar Mercury, July 27, 1917
