Bio

Johana was born in house number 94 in Palkovice, Moravia. She married Martin Kurecka around 1864 in Moravia. They immigrated on the ship Strausburg and arrived in New Orleans, Louisiana on 10 September 1873. They had five children. After Johana's first husband died, she married Jan Steffek. Martin is buried in Dubina, Texas.
