August was born to Joseph William (Joe) and Johanna Macha Kossa. August was baptized on 18 August 1900 by Rev. Father F. Neubert. His godparents were Frank and Theresa Kossa. He died in infancy at the age of five weeks per the church records. He was buried in the cemetery by Rev. Father F. Neubert, without a tombstone.
