Bio
Lillian Kahanek Ripple Bolander, 96, of El Campo, died on Dec. 14, 2007. She was born on Nov. 8, 1911, in Taiton, to the late Ignatz and Matilda Sliva Kahanek. She was a longtime self-employed beautician and a homemaker. She was a member of the KJZT and St. Philip Catholic Church. Her survivers include her brothers, Victor Kahanek and wife Katheryn of Halletsville, Valentine Kahanek and wife Betty of Houston; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Ladin Ripple and Randolph Bolander; and brothers, B.J. and Ignatz Kahanek Jr. A parish rosary will be recited at 930 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 17, 2007 at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church. Funeral services will follow at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Gary Janak officiating. Interment will be at Garden of Memories Cemetery. Pallbearers were Kyle Kahanek, Christopher Kahanek, Val Kahanek Jr., Ron Kahanek, Joe Coleman, Dwayne Ritchie and Mark Hansen.
