Bio

DERIDDER - Funeral services for Mrs. Vernice Snelling 88, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday. Jan. 28, in Hixson Funeral Home. The Rev. Byron Williams will officiate. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery at Dry Creek. Visitation is from 11:30 a.m.-8 p.m. today. Mrs. Snelling died Thursday, Jan. 26,1995, in a local hospital. A native of Dry Creek, she lived in DeRidder 20 years and was a retired registered nurse. Survivors are one daughter, Shirley McCullough of Houston; and three grandchildren.
