Bio

Funeral services have been set for Howard Lonnie Carroll Sr., 63 who died in the Houston VA Hospital, for 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Taylor Bros. Chapel with the Rev. W.D. Baker officiating. Interment will follow in the Cedarvale Cemetery, under the direction of Taylor Bros. Funeral Home, with Gary Steele, Shirley Brown, Keefer Davis, B.G. Sandusky, E.S. Graham, and E.J. Anderson, serving as pallbearers. Carroll, born Feb. 8, 1918 in New Braunfels, is survived by one son, Skipper Carroll of Bay City, and a daughter Barbara Thornton of Brazoria; his mother Mrs. Hettie Carroll of Bay City; a sister Frances Norwood of Hampshire and brother Nelson Carroll of Houston; and five grandchildren.
