(Ref: CARLSBAD CURRENT-ARGUS, Carlsbad, Eddy County, New Mexico, dated for Wednesday, May 14, 1969, page 2, reads as follows: ZEDDIE SCOTT Mrs. Zeddie Janet Scott, 48, died in New Orleans, La., Tuesday after about a year's residence there. She had been a resident of Carlsbad for many years and had been employed in doctors offices and also, for a while, at St. Francis Hospital. Born in Vernon County, La., Dec. 27, 1920. She was a licensed paratical nurse. Funeral services are pending at West Funeral Home. Survivors include her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Luther M. McLeod of Hicks, La.; a son, Gregory Mark Scott, Modesto, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Pat McIntyre and Mrs. Jerry Dunagan, both of Carlsbad; a brother, Raymond McLeod, Alexandra, La., and three grandchildren. H.P. Johnson, minister of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Mrs. Scott, a licensed pratical nurse who was born in Vernon Parish, Louisiana Dec. 27, 1920, had lived in Carlsbad many years and moved a year ago to New Orleans, La., where she died Tuesday. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be R.N. Black, W.A. Dunagan, Mike Dunagan, Ed Wade, Byrl Blount and Rudy Voigt. Honorary pall bearers will be Beck Cox, Dr. T.E. Hauser, Dr. E.B. Flanagan and A.D. Coalson.
