"BORN IN CALIFORNIA'S GOLD RUSH DAYS, PIONEER WOMAN PASSES. A resident of Dallas since 1887, Mrs. Margaret Ann Mann, 78, who was born in Fresno, Calif., the daughter of a Forty Niner, died Wednesday at her residence 419 North Windomere. Her husband, J. C. Mann, with whom she came to Dallas, retired four years ago after working forty-seven years for the same sash and door company. Mrs. Mann was the daughter of A. C. Bulloch of Mississippi, who was in the California Gold Rush of 1849. She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Miss Lula Mann and Mrs. J. T. Williams of Dallas; two sons, M. C. Mann and Roy Mann of Dallas; two brothers, Joe Bulloch, Dallas and John Bulloch, Arlington; two sisters, Mrs. Ellen Lee and Mrs. Charlie Deisman of Grand Prairie; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild...."
