WAKEFIELD — LILLIAN MAE WAKEFIELD, 62 of Cleveland, Texas, passed away in a Houston hospital. Mrs. Wakefield was a 15 year employee of the Cleveland Police Department in Cleveland, Texas. She is survived by her husband, Berl Wakefield of Cleveland, son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Elizabeth Wakefield of Cleveland; one brother, Bob Green of Houston; three sisters, Dorothy Briscoe of Cleveland, Edith Brunson of Romayor, Nita and Ross Dobbins of Dodge; two grandsons, Greg Wakefield and Mike Wakefield, both of Cleveland; aunts and uncles, Ed and Mamie Wynn, Bill and Bessie Wakefield; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Sunday afternoon at 4 p.m. from the Oak Shade Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Crocker officiating. Interment will be Oak Shade Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Cleveland Police Department. Pace Stancil Funeral Home, 303 Crockett, Cleveland, 592-2641.
