Bio

Franklyn D. Jordan, 71, Whitewood, died Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at Rapid City Regional Hospital. Visitation will be Sunday from noon until 9:00 p.m. at Kinkade Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 11th at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Sturgis. Burial will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery with military honors provided by the Sturgis Veterans Honor Guard. Frank was born August 18, 1939, at Armour, SD, to Clifford and Minnie (McKee) Jordan. He grew up and attended school at Armour. He served in the US Army from 1961 until his honorable discharge in 1963. Frank married his wife at Deadwood, SD, on July 10, 1961. Frank began working at McDonnel Douglas Aircraft in 1965 and retired in 1995. Frank was always there for his grandchildren. They were his pride and joy and made him very happy, especially singing with his granddaughter while they drove in the car. He also loved riding his motorcycle with family and friends. He is survived by his wife,three sons,one daughter,seven grandchildren,one great-grandchild,one brother,two sisters and several nieces and nephews.
