Whitney Messenger Friday, April 15, 1994 Talbot Vinson Talbot Vinson, age 74 formerly of Whitney, died April 7, 1994 in a Waco hospital. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 8 at Marshall and Marshall Chapel in Whitney with Toby Soechting and G.L. Cudd officiating. Interment was at the Heath Cemetery near Whitney. Mr. Vinson was born June 29, 1919 near Blum, Texas. He was the son of Alvin E. and Amy (Bean) Vinson. Mr. Vinson grew up and attended school in the Blum and Whitney areas. He attended Hill Junior College and was a member of the Church of Christ. He was a retired salesman for Thom McCann Shoes. Mr. Vinson was a veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Odell Ripley, Lois Rose, Mrele Stevenson; two brothers, J.H. Vinson and Orval Vinson. Mr. Vinson is survived by two brothers, Joe Bob Vinson of Whitney and William Ralph Vinson of Waco; one sister, Willie E. Waits of Blum; numerous nieces and nephews.
