Trinity Standard - July 2003 Obit for Funeral services for Mr. Herman John Litzler, age 92 of Kennard were held on July 22, at 10:30 a.m. at the Groveton Funeral Home with the Rev. Albert Cortez officiating. Interment followed at Pennington Cemetery. Mr. Litzler was born May 12, 1911 in El Campo and passed away on July 19, 2003 in Houston. Mr. Litzler was a member of Arbor Baptist Church and retired from the City of Houston Civil Service. Survivors include his daughter Reba E. Skinner, of Kennard; son Marvin L. Litzler, of Cypress; brothers J. B. Litzler, of Pennington, Earnest B. Litzler, of San Antonio and Andrew A. Litzler, of Fort Worth; sister Mary Magalin Weathers, of Bay City; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his wife Mary; and a son Weldon John Litzler. Pallbearers were Michael Litzler, Ronnie Litzler, Kenneth skinner, Leroy Sims, Joe Newland and Khoi, VA. Honorary Pallbearers were Anthony Wayne Skinner and Terri Lee Skinner. Groveton Funeral Home
