Bio
Guy H. Wann was the fourth of six children born to John William 'Will' Wann and Martha E. Ellington. Guy H. Wann and Lula S. Melton were married in Magazine, Logan Co., Arkansas on Jan. 21, 1917. They were the parents of one daughter, Velda Wann, born on Nov. 7, 1917, when Guy was killed by a lightening strike. They were living in Chelsea, Oklahoma at the time. The same lightening strike also killed Lula's older brother Harry Melton. Guy Wann was killed in June of 1919 and Lula gave birth to their second child, Guy Howard Wann Jr. in November of 1919. Lula moved back in with her parents and five year later would marry, Edward Russell Pierce. Lula and Edward Pierce became the parents of seven children before they were divorced around 1954. Lula married again for a third time to Fred Hill but this marriage was not of long duration. When Lula died, during 1984, she was buried in the Highland Cemetery at Ozark, Arkansas.
