Bio

The daughter of Albert Hogan and Minnie Embree, wife of George Coons, according to her death certificate, informant was her father of Madison Missouri. ------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks to contributor #46558224 for the following obituary: Madison - Sept. 5 - Mrs. George Coons died at the home of her father, Albert Hogan, four miles south of Madison, Monday evening about 9:30 o'clock. Mrs. Coons, the former Irene Hogan, was the daughter of Mr and Mrs Albert Hogan, and was born March 18, 1905, in Monroe County, where she has always resided. She was a teacher in the rural schools of this county for five years. She was a member of the Middle Grove Christian Church. She was married to George Coons in September 30, 1933. To this union one child, George Leon, was born. Besides the husband and son, the parents and three brothers, Lewis, George and Raymond Hogan, survive. Mrs. Coons had been in failing health for some months. She was a patient in a Moberly hospital, after which she was brought to the home of her parents, where death occurred. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Madison Christian church by the Rev. J.B. Weldon, Christian minister. Burial will be in the Madison cemetery.
