CARLSBAD CURRENT-ARGUS Carlsbad, Eddy County, New Mexico January 11, 1984 JEFFUS Funeral services are pending at Denton Funeral Home for Flora E. Jeffus, 88, of 1300 N. Canal St. Mrs. Jeffus died today at a local hospital. Mrs. Jeffus moved to Carlsbad about 30 years ago from Roswell where she and her husband had ranched. Previously, she had lived with her husband in Quitman, Texas. She is survived by four daughters, Marjorie Lane, Joe Mae Schoolcraft and Jean Jeffus, all of Carlsbad, and Geneva Brake of Denver, seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. JEFFUS Funeral services for Flora E. Jeffus, 88, 1300 N. Canal St., will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Denton Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens Memorial Park. The Rev. Irby Abernathy, Apostolic Faith Tabernacle will officiate. Pallbearers will be Floyd Bruant, Bobby Burkeen, Jess Bryant, Willis Brown, Leo Howerton and Aaron Abernathy.
